I'm running for re-election to the Vermont House, representing Middlebury and East Middlebury, because I want a Vermont that works for all of us, not just a select few. A Vermont where our families and communities can thrive and where the Vermont dream is accessible to everyone - not just a chosen few. When we rewrite the rules so that families can care for and support themselves, we boost the economy and build stronger, healthier communities. Every Vermonter should have the opportunity to earn a livable wage, receive high-quality affordable health care, get a great education, live in a clean, healthy environment, and retire with security. Every Vermonter should get a fair shot, contribute their fair share, and play by the same set of rules.
With so much uncertainly coming out of Washington, DC, it's important that we take care of Vermonters and protect them from potential harm. We need to work to create the future we want as Vermonters, not wait for it to come to us. We know how to be leaders - we've done it many times - and now is a critical time for us demonstrate leadership and innovation to ensure the future of our communities and our state.
There is much work left to do. I have been honored to serve as your Representative in Montpelier and I look forward to continuing to serve you. I am grateful for your support.
